When held in hand, in place of a pick, the magnetic field causes the string(s) to vibrate. This does allow for infinite sustain, and creates a sound much like a violin, or almost like a theremin box. It's a cool effect, but I personally haven't found much use for one other than to add a bit of ambience or atmosphere to a track. |

My old warlock Had a jazz and dimebucker in it, The distortion was great but they were a little to noisy. I like the silent over tone of the EMGs. |
