In the initial invasion, most squads we're running and gunning in Humvees that didn't even have a hard top, only canvas. That was, of coarse, before the era of IEDs. Some of the roadside bombs are large enough to litterally flip a bradly fighting vehicle onto its back. Unfortunatly, there is no armor that can stop that. They need up to date bomb jammers that can stop the signal that is used to set them off. Usually the detonators are garage door openers, cell phones, pagers, etc... |
