| ______________________________________ [Jan 11,2006 3:22pm - the_reverend ""] the_taste_of_silver: I'm not 100% sure of why, but for a lot of the songs, rowan's vocals were different. he sounded more like the earlier between the buried and me than what he usually sounds like. mustangs and madras: they were different. mostly poppy-jawbreakerish stuff, but there was a sax that the guy played. some of their songs reminded me a little of birthrites. there were screaming parts and then it would calm down with the screamer playing sax. some of their songs were dancy and reminded me of Q and not U. ricky fitts: I heard a lot of different sounds in their set. it sort of reminded me of at the drive-in, but with a lot more heart and passion when they were up there on the stage. as oppose to the jawbreak-ish sound from m&m, they sounded more like jawbox. they had 2 singers. bugs and rats: I've never seen the singer so drunk. this completes the nirvana images from the last review. he was swaying back and forth, barely standing excet with the hel of the wall, but never stopped playing. |
