However, Kwannon was never known as Psylock in her own body, only after the switch. Therefore there's some serious discontinuity. For those that don't know, Betsy Braddock (Psylock) and Kwannon had their bodies switched. Kwannon possessed Braddock's body and became Revanche, while Psylock took over Kwannons (much hotter) body, becoming Lady Mandarin (she was brainwashed to serve Mandarin by Kwannons lover. Later, Revanche died of Legacy virus, and Lady Mandarin overcame her brainwashing to again server the x-men as Psylock, only now in a much hotter body. |

The only time she was ever on the "bad" side was when she served Mandarin, but at that time she was "Lady Mandarin". Also, it cannot be the "original" psylock. The "original" was a young british chick. This actress is asian, so it's obviously psylock after she switch bodies with Kwannon, the asian assasin. I read too many comics as a child. |

This is possible, but it'll require a bit of a stretch. If they were to start out with Kwannon somehow entering into the service of Magneto, then they could build up towards the body-switching plot. However, there'd need to be someone on the x-men side playing the pre-switch braddock. Since they announced the part was "psylock", the switch would HAVE to take place in this movie. |
