Letterman: “I’m not smart enough to debate you point to point on this, but I have the feeling, I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap. [audience laughter] But I don’t know that for a fact. [more audience applause]

Paul Shafer: “60 percent.”

Letterman: “60 percent. I’m just spit-balling here.”

that was great

fucking o'reilly spent his 2 hours on the radio talking about this today.
while everyone else was talking about the miner tragedy and the screw up of the press, O'Reilly decides to talk about himself on Lettermen.
he's pretty full of himself.

That video is priceless, it's about time someone took him down a few pegs, I'd love to chew him a new asshole myself but I don't have a talk show.. 60%? I'd say that's an understatement, O'Rielly is pretty high on the douchebag list.

ok, i just saw Ted Nugent on tv talking about this.
i don't understand why this was so controversial...yeah, they went at it a little bit, but Letterman isn't a political commentator, nor is he known for being very political. he's a comedian with a talk show.
as arrogant as O'Reilly is for talking about this for 2 days as well, i think he missed the point. i think we all did. O'Reilly is a guy that we love to hate, and to have him on a talk show, whether it be Letterman, Leno or even the Daily Show, is good television because you know there's gonna be an arguement or two with a little comedy.
i don't know why this was such a big deal. ok, i don't know why i went on this rant. i just had to say something about it...

i agree, it's nothing to be worried about in O'Reilly's case. typical conservative paranoia.

I read some editorial on the exchange about how this was a clear illustration of liberal elite media bias or some bullshit.

Did I miss some major news where Fox News lost their broadcasting license a few years ago and had resorted to broadcasting pirate signals using a super 8 camera and a hand crank generator? If so I gotta give it to their production team, they've eeked a lot out of that super 8.
