What the fuck do they think this, the early 90s when all the shows were really good? everyone needs to bring back the matinee show. shoot ya wounded: they had a different singer from the first time I saw them. Good two-stepy hardcore. They had one chord from db4b that I heard. Their set was rushed so the drummer could get to work. During their 2nd to last song, there was a fight. Watching joey cogs walk up to the fight and just start throwing people was the highlight of the night for me. in our blood: their set sounded so much better than any of the times I've heard them at romans. I think they are definitly becoming their own band. The only thing I noticed was during on of their songs, they played the running chords from true til death, but still a killer set. |
| _______________________________________ [Jan 11,2006 10:33am - the_reverend ""] scumbag anthem: so this band broke the 3-word band name prereq. for this show. they used cant stand loosing's gear and played covers. it was really feedbacky so I'm not every sure what songs they were. I'm sure with their own equipment. cant stand loosing: these guys are another band that gets better and better each time I see them. it's funny now a days how good hardcore bands can get big fast. they played newer songs that were much better written than their older songs. they are definitely progressing. death before dishonor: this was the first of the bands that have CDs that everyone has. in hardcore terms, that means only one thing, the sing along. I took way too many pictures of people on top of each other singing along with db4d. I'm sure that a bunch of kids in room just think that they are a hardcore band and don't pay attention to the oldschool metal riffs that they work into their songs. they played 2 or 3 newer songs that almost had slayer sounding parts to them that ruled. some of these songs are going to be released on a full length with the friends family forever ep. since the flood: the second of the bands that people would be singing along too. they have a new CD that they are working on. I guess it will be out this year. they only play a couple songs that aren't on the other CD. during these songs, there was a bit of dancing, but most people didn't know the songs. during the stf classics, people had to push back to keep the crowd off the drums/guitars. fun stuff none the less. I'm looking foward to the new CD. |
