Sexcrement-So fucking good. This is their first show, and they already sound head and shoulders above a lot of the bands in the scene. Slammy Death Metal all the way. Throwing Shrapnel-Played a lot of their old stuff, which was cool to hear again. Doom's vocals were really fucking loud. Shred the Past-opened up with a pretty loyal tribute of "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest. Sick high notes, dude. I dug the rest of the stuff, pretty sweet hardcore. Neuraxis-so good. Only one guitarist but still had that nice full sound. What is it with Canadian bands with having one guitarist live and still pulling it off? Also, what's with Canadian bands with sick drummers? They've got Flo, the dude from Despised Icon, and this guy...really tight. I thought it was fucking awesome that Adam got to take one song and Josh played bass to finish the set. Josh played so dead on, you could've fooled me who the real full-time bassist of Neuraxis was. No offense to The Beast. |
