I have a document and I want to up size the layers on it and then crop the whole thing...
anyone know how to do this?

I can zoom in on my layers and they are vectors or whatever so they look good when you zoom. I just don't know how to upsize them all so when I pull it in to photoshop, it's too small.

someone's thinking photoshop....

I'm looking and there is no free transform under edit... though there is in photoshop. this is illistrator that I'm having issues with, not ps.

I'm also using illistrator cs2

there's a transform in that

it's just in a box along with "ALIGN" and some other things

you can just enter whatever size you want in the box

with mine I keep it under the tools on the left hand side, lower corner

BTW, if youi've never used the Align features, they will blow your mind.

Worth the cost of the bundle.

it was actually just one of the pointers and the document setup that did it for me in the end.

unforunately, pscs2 rasterizes the images when you import it... bastards.

illustrator will make the image distort like a bitch when you enlarge it. i hate taking shit from illustrator to photoshop. but, click it then go object then transform then scale.

that's cause you're working with bitmaps. If you want real integrity only work with vector based stuff like TIFF and EPS.

Illustrator has tons of really really really useful tools that Photoshop several lacks, and vice versa.

I hate the limited image editing capabilities of illustrator, but I love the fact that, for instance, you can just click with the rectangle tool and then put in the size and BAM there it is. Why the fuck doesn't PS have that???

parts of a text layer? you can't just delete the text from the text box you dont want?

I have a layer that is a drawn out shape. I want to only display the text that is in a certain location inside the oddly shaped group of vectors.

you can mask by putting a shape over your other shape. Select both shape objects, and then go to objects/clipping mask/make mask. will that work?

you can put it over a grouped bunch of shapes too, not just another single shape.
