I have on... do you need realtime or not?
I have an electribes EB1.
if you need realtime, get a chaospad.

you could do it the cheap way...use a cd player, make a cd of the samples.

[Jan 26,2006 10:26pm - the_reverend ""]
there is the EB1, EA1, ER1, and EM1.
EB1 = sampler "drum" machine
EA1 = analog synth
ER1 = rhythm synth
EM1 = combines all 3

I'm going to search vintage synth for them and link it up.

you can get a ES-1 for $100-$200.
if I really wanted a sampler and didn't care about money...
akai all the way.

[Jan 26,2006 10:45pm - KeithMutiny ""]
if i can find an es-1 that would be fine.

[Jan 26,2006 10:51pm - the_reverend ""]
you want to borrow my es1 for a while and try it out?
if you would be careful with it, I could let you.

well, im gonna buy one no matter what, so let me search a little bit and learn a little more about what exactly im looking for.

[Jan 26,2006 11:03pm - Dissector ""]
Dissector just uses an iPod whenever we remember to bring one and feel like using samples.

[Jan 26,2006 11:08pm - the_reverend ""]
the only thing that a sampler gives you is "triggers" and you can play more than one sample at a time.

[Jan 26,2006 11:08pm - the_reverend ""]
oh and I liked the electribes cause you can sequence if you want.
but if you are going to sequence, you would probably just put it on an ipod or whatever

[Jan 26,2006 11:25pm - KeithMutiny ""]
the more i look into it, the more i realise those es-1 models look pretty good for the money, with the features they have.

[Jan 26,2006 11:28pm - the_reverend ""]
you need to get a 32MB media card for it too.

[Jan 26,2006 11:30pm - the_reverend ""]
oh, look at the EM-1. I don't know what it can do.. but I was told it can do the ES-1's job and more.. like the ER1, Ea!, and ES1
 ______________________________________
[Jan 26,2006 11:40pm - KeithMutiny ""]
the EM-1 looks older, and like it does actually less, but thats just after a quick scan

[Jan 27,2006 12:02am - the_reverend ""]
EM-1 is newer. click on the vintagesynth links above.

but I think you are right. the EM-1 combines the EA-1 and the ER-1, not the Es-1/

if you just need sound samples then i'd say go with this http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Key...ds/Midi/Modules/Samplers?sku=700451

our keyboardist just got one that's a sequencer/drum machine/keyboard/sampler...it surely is overkill for what we need right now but i'm sure there's all sorts of crazy uses it could have once we figure out how to actually use the god damn thing...the only problem is thinking of a way of using it without sounding like Q

I was actually looking at that 404, but im trying to spend a little less.

plus im swaying the way of the drum machine more, for new solo side project im working on

[Jan 27,2006 12:18am - SacreligionNLI  ""]
ahhh

perhaps that thing i had mentioned is better suited to your needs...i'm not sure what there are for possibilities with a smaller price unless you're trying e-bay

[Jan 27,2006 12:21am - KeithMutiny ""]
the thing you linked is the 404

oh sorry i meant the sampler that our keyboardist bought might be better for your side project

here ya go: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Key...oove/Production/Stations?sku=701947

ain't nuthin' like an 808

[Jan 27,2006 8:57am - the_reverend ""]
808's bass kick rules.
hands down the best sounds in electronica come from the 808, 303 and the juno 106.

[Jan 27,2006 9:01am - whiskey_weed_and_women ""]
oh snap, breaking out with the juno 106, dont make me find samples of project 808 to school you ole time aaaaaaah

[Jan 27,2006 9:09am - the_reverend ""]
I have a juno alpha 1 with is like a prequel to the 106. I forget if the 106 had midi or is that was the jupter 60. either way, those are true analog synths... so fucking thick sounding, nice and juice.

the tubes have their own gain knob, it pretty much adds balls to the sound that digital couldn't offer

does it hurt when women get raped, why do they struggle and is it in their nature to enjoy being choked and punched

[Dec 12,2006 6:50pm - menstrual_sweatpants_disco ""]
Yes. They struggle just to make us want them more. And yes, all good women enjoy a good punch deep down inside, whether they want to admit it or not.
