I had to park 8 blocks away, missing a great band. defcon4 : I really would like to hear the 7" of something. They have something coming out soon. I'm not sure. The set was uneventful compared with other times I've seen them. The music was still really good, but the crowd was subdued for the most part. I'm guessing no one wanted to get kicked out before the headliners. doomriders: again they ripped it. I liked the show the other night better, but still ther performance was nothing short of rock stardom. The set was really short, all hits. the crowd got moving during them. I was surprised that a circle pit sprang up during their set and even more amazed to see some one jump on top of the crowd. Unfortunately, they were all tuned up to play another song and had to stop. One of the speakers on broke during their set. |

The front of the crowd was all crust kids all hoping all over each other. There was more people up on top of the crowd than basically any show besides the freeze. I'm positive that MW will top them too. The singer ran around the stage and the crowd though the mic chord was waaaay tooo shooort. Ever 2 second the chord would get pulled out, killing the vocals. The mic would then get tossed to magically get fixed. BxBx is so full of metal wanking, it's great. I guess this is their last show. they are going on a european tour and then coming back as a broken up band. it's a good thing I caught them twice. |

Think of kylesa minus the girl and a lot of 70's rock thrown in. municipal waste: I did it once again, looking right past dave witte for and entire show and then finally realizing he's in yet another band as the bands is taking the stage. I did the same thing at the last MW show and ozzfest. Their set was sheer craziness. From the first beat hit til the last, the crowd didn't stop moving. Immediately from the first note, the silly string flew in the air and the circle-pitting and staged diving started off. Kids of all ages and genres love this band. there were people hanging 10 on top of the crowd on boogie boards. in the end, they got cut short. I guess the hall's got a curfew. people were yelling for a while for them to play one more song, but the large black dude on the stage said no. |
