This picture speaks volumes to me, I'm sharing it because I thought some of you might enjoy it as well.

it looks very old fashioned, except there's a kid in baggy pants......it is a very good picture though.

if you want an honest critique photo-wise... not that I'm at all, but it's pretty OOF.

it also looks like it was just grayscaled. this makes the image a lot flatter that it would be is you use a channel mixer for mesh down the colors to grays. you can really bring out colors and then change them in to shades for the b/w.

it needs a sharpening over all cause there is a lot of "digital clouding" in there.

I'm not saying it's a bad photo, it just needs a little photoshopping.
I cleaned out all the things that I said above and cut it by 50% to take out some of the OOF. email me and I'll send you the photo. oh, I also warmed it up a touch.

yeah, please post it. damn, you are quick. It was actually taken with a 35mm analog camera, with black and white film. thanks Rev, I'm sure my sister will appreciate.

when you scan things you need to sharpen them or you get a graying of the image.

let's see, I balanced the levels (they weren't bad)
USM'd it at 13% 31pt
resized by 50%
placed a warming filter on it of 19%
USM'd it at 15% 10pt

the print wasn't so bad, but after I scanned it and hosted it on tinypic it wasn't looking quite so good.
