A complaint about the review page

when i opened up the RTTP homepage just now, i noticed there was a new album review. there was no picture of the album cover. i clicked it; the band was Hawthorne Heights, there was no info on the album at all, and the review was "sucks".
is anyone else bothered by this? not that someone is bashing Hawthorne Heights, but that people actually take time to add groups that probably shouldn't even be there, only to remind everyone that the band sucks? what a waste.

I think the reviews page is one of the coolest features on here. It would be sweet if more people used it. I'm not into writing gawdy reviews featured on metal archives. Rev should make us honoray mods.

i'm a frog. and no i'm not one of those "can't we all get along" types, and i don't think it's THAT big a deal, i just think its stupid to add bands like hawthorne heights, or linkin park, or limp bizkit, or whatever... just to post meaningless shit like "uuhh this band sux blah blah blah" people should grow up and find something better to do, like killing themselves and ridding the world of their stupidity.:moe:

probably no one cares, but i was reading the reviews for the satyricon and sepultura albums that are shown on the home page; also noticed someone added a new limp bizkit album to the list - i feel compelled to bump this thread and make known once more my annoyance for shitty reviews.

the satyricon one says:
"this is one of the best albums of 2006 so far along side sepultura, in flames, lacuna coil, bleeding throunghand now all were waiting for is the new trivium, metallica, slayer and tool albums??"

no, i am not waiting for any more albums from any of those bands, and i highly doubt anyone else on the board is either. there's no 'we' in your musical pursuits dude, you're on your own.

the sepultura one says:
"the best sep album whith the new singer"

jesus h. tapdancing christ, could this be any more bland? i want to know if it's worth my money to buy the damn thing, or if it's even worth my time waiting for it to download? what does it sound like? details!!!! be creative!

as for the limp bizkit CDs....i can't tell you how stupid people's opinions are on those, even if they hate it: "i bet someone added this because they thought it was heavy..." "i bet whoever added this likes britney spears and avril lavigne..." "fred dusrt probably thinks he's black but he's really not..."
people don't add limp bizkit CDs because they think it deserves to be put here, they put it here as a stupid joke that they think is going to earn them laughs and it didn't work; it just wastes space.

i don't mean to tell anyone what to do, but i like heavy music, and before i go out to buy albums, i like to try to get some opinions on what's good, what's worth my 20 bucks?

if i add an album, i make sure it's worthy of being added, and i try to review them from a more neutral point of view, while still letting the reader know how i feel about it, and describe the sound as best i can, not just useless crap like "best one yet" "kills posers" etc...

sorry about the rant.
