It was so disgustingly loud back there that people were leaving. I had ear plugs in and I was still in pain. They had the volume up so high that a glass shattered behind the bar (where I was working) and I spent the rest of the night picking glass out of my hair and off my clothes. The sound engineer asked them to turn down and they answered "it's our last song" and did not do as they were asked I suggest you think hard before doing any further business with them, as their behavior does reflect on your reputation." |

Some of their stuff sounded like isis. Other times like kylesa, but they had some melodicy sounding guitar parts. behind all of this was their lights that flashed over and over again. | _____________________________________ [May 6,2006 2:59am - the_reverend ""] conifer: this is my first time seeing them without nate or johnifer. but they got a new drummer (he's from ogre). he's probably a better drummer over all, but the dynamics of the band have been changed. originally, nate would be the driving force when they played. now that he's got, the foundation has been shifted to a guitar player. since zack always seems to be a little free and a tad apart from the band and john isn't with them right now, the buck is passed to leaf. I always think of him as the "new guy" so it's weird that he's the only that the other people in the band look towards him. I think that the shift will give them a lot mroe continuity between their live set. from what zack said, john is back in the band after 6 months out. bury the needle: I knew they had a new singer. I had remembed that I liked the singer, but when that guy got on stage, I thought "who's this". the best comparison I can make between the two different singers is the difference between jesse and howard singing for KSE (it's not just the skin color, but attitude). the new guy fit right in with this band. I'm not sure how long he's been in, but he was just into the music and sang right along, running into the crowd and all. at some point during there set, a mexican guy who was out of his mind was up on stage and wouldn't get off. I got a couple good shots of that, but then he wouldn't get off the stage. 3 people pulled him off and booted him out. motherboar: they were pretty rocking. I couldn't really listen cause I was running around shooting other people/things. at one point during their set, the guitarist broke a string and the other guys played part of a minor threat song. |
