Still dont have a good computer up and running, and I cant login on this laptop for some reason. (prolly cuz it sux) I customed the fuck outta my Ibanez rgt42 and Im gonna post some pics soon, but I must explain before any of you pass premature judgement. First let me start by saying , FUCK FUCK FUCK. Talk about a paIN in the bag, Ibanez and EMG arent made to work together, too well. The input jack the Ibnz is about 2 -3 inches long, the EMG supplied jack is standard, so the jack will not reach the outside of the guitar, unless its rear routed from the inside. Gay. Solution: Drilled out back input plate re-routed the jack, left the old jack in the side, I have an 'L' monster anyway, so the input is now on the back. EMG vol/tone pots are prewired for 'convienience'. HA! Ya, if your pots are an inch or less apart from one another, fucking assholes. Connected by a special capacitor, this is not easily extended. Solution: Took a few minutes of head scratching. I swore a bit, and then BAM!! Simple idea. Turn up the tone knob all the way, tape it open, leave it inside the cavity, leave the old tone pot in the hole. Done. I dont ever turn my tone down, fuck it. Some new fucking knobs and the 81 and I love this thing even more. My bro took some nikon d10(?) Macro's of it, and Im gonna get em on here soon.
