I don't know what time period this band is supposed to be from, but it's no era I've ever heard of. When I hear The Strokes, I just keep trying to figure out what their appeal is, but I can't; not musically, anyway, I mean it's just awful, and sounds like it's the kind of thing that must be a joke. I mean, are they supposed to be cool because the entire band is a couple? I guess there's something admirable about the musical self-sufficiency of a couple who can be the full manifestation of a band, kind of like Local H with nookie... but, then again, Local H had more talent. Which I suppose says it all. |
