This was a really fun time... I wish I coulda caught the first 2 bands, I'm sure I missed some of HEKSERI when I circled the block like 6 times trying to find a parking spot. Cool room, good sound... Wicked hangover though.

Northern: after hearing the mp3s and that they got a live band together, i've wanted to see this band. Their CD is awesome. I was very curious how they would work in the neo-classical parts of their music in a live set. Like a lot of other bands, it's mostly stripped of that. The only two parts was the clean guitars in a bridge of one song and the bard-vocals in the last song (which is more than behomoth does live). Besides that is was just pure blistering black metal with riffing influences from old school back metal. Their next CD could possibly make the last immortal CD sound like crap. Paul broke a string before the last song so that put a break in their set. Matt looked like he was in a drum cofin back there. Megan pulled double duty, but is a really great guitar player. At the end, paul and matt were going to play a song without kinslayer or pagenmagen, but the sound guy cut them off cause of the asian neighbors complaining.

i think in the c.n.v. cd my name is spelled wrong but fuck it , close enough. the yuppies can call me foghlatte.
its my name in irish which then in modern day comes out to foley.
it means marauder . it works well with the black metal psydonyms (sp) (sorry pubic school taught) and then dropped out for the rock.

Hey, this Anderson Mar (Dark Sky Productions) - I cohosted the 5/17 and 5/18 shows with my partner, Matthew "Metal Matt" Marchesi (Spaz-Tik Ltd).
I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the bands this week. I'd love to see a metal community rebuilt in Boston, and you are all key parts of this dream - the bands, the fans, the venues. I hope everyone had a great time and I hope to see you at more shows in the future.
