They played stuff that no one knew, but the whole frontline was headbanging. For the first song or so, I had no clue who was on bass. I figured they had found another brother since he had the same hair. Finally, the hair flipped back and it was jeff (superfly). I didn't know he was in the band. The new stuff the played was really fast. biolich: they played on the floor so you really couldn't here the vocals at all. Every now and then, I would catch something from the vocals, but usually it was nothing. I'm going to have to check it in recorded form when I get home. |

The word is still out whether he used a pitchshifter or not. Neither blue nor I saw it, but his voice was so low that he had to be using one. The sound was so much better in obrien's than at MDF. They played a absolute ton of tracks, some deathmetal and some groovier grind songs. facedowninshit: honestly, these guys sound a lot better on CD. There is a thick element that is missing. but they were the reason that I came down to this show. I have to say, they were just too clean sounding over their whole set. The music was good, but it was just all 70's rock. They didn't at all have the south slugginess from the CD. Still, it was good, I was just expecting more. |

Although we had lots of trouble to get to the O'briens at this evening and we didn't know where we could sleep, it was fucking awesome to play there! Good to hear, that the sound was better than at the MDF. It was really fucked that DEMILICH had to quit their set after five songs, but they're absolutely great. I just wanted to say, that we don't use any pitched vocals and thanks for all the great pictures. Stay brutal!!! |
