so wait..... is Brujeria getting back together?

and Hearwork sucked.

hopefully Jeff Walker would be open to it... I'd fly just about anywhere in the world to see a Carcass reunion.

While I love Emperor, and I really wish I was going to the reunion show, I'd actually much rather see Carcass.

I love how so far more people are excited about Brujeria than Carcass. I love Carcass, but I don't think a reunion would be a good idea.

Brujeria's been back together, new line up though

Wow....metal is making money again?!? No way, let's do a reunion!

A Carcass reunion would totally suck ass... they haven't done anything worth while since their second album and im sure they have forgotten how to even play like that any more...

I think they could pull it off and pull it off well
I like heartwork and necrotocism

But it does have the potential to be a disapointment
 ______________________________________________
[May 22,2006 12:21pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
They certainly have the songs to pull it off.

I can't agree with all this loathing of 'Heartwork' and 'Necroticism' though, both were fantastic albums with great riffs.

Carcass are allright.I'll go and see them if they come around here

a carcass reunion would be amazing.
no matter what anyone says, heartwork is one of my favorite CDs. the problem with it is that it influenced a lot of terrible bands.
 ______________________________________________
[May 22,2006 12:41pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
Agreed. Heartwork is just riff after riff...

Arbeit Macht Fleisch? Come on, a guaranteed future EA cover.

[May 22,2006 12:45pm - chris_from_shit_fuck ""]
I actually agree with Rev, I love Heartwork. Though it's not my favorite Carcass album, there are some great tunes on there.

As for a reunion, let the band rest. As much as I'd love to say I've seen carcass before I've died, it'd be better just to let the legacy end where it did over 10 years ago.
 ______________________________________________
[May 22,2006 12:48pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
I agree with that too. I wish every band would let the legacy rest, but it never happens. I just find the timing of some of the reunions to be shady. If metal wasn't exploding right now, I doubt many of these bands would be so quick to reunite. But it's not up to me. I just hope they'll play some good songs and have fun.

Legendary band. Fuck it let them make some money finally. If in 10 years I can cash in you better fucking belive Im gonna

[May 22,2006 1:12pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
If they somehow coincide this with an At the Gates reunion, they will both be making a LOT of money.

arbeit macht fleisch was my favorite carcass song for a while.
everyone can be all altruistic, but who wouldn't sell out? sell out you make bank and everyone hates you. just change your name and move away with your ivory backscratchers.
 _____________________________________________
[May 22,2006 2:33pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
I don't really think they ever sold out. Just sort of changed for the worse at the very end.

then they'd best get on it now!

I saw CARCASS with DEATH in 1990, great show.

Anyone that doesn't like "Necroticism" and "Heartwork" should give up on life.

With Death and Pestilence. Right?

No, unfortunately PESTILENCE weren't on the RI show at The Church House Inn, just PHLEGM opening.

Saw them at the Channel, I think it was called the grindcrusher tour or something, it was a long time ago with napalm death, godflesh, and some band with keyboards I cant remember their name. The whole show was incredible

[May 22,2006 3:48pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""]
Aaah okay, the one I saw was at the Channel, I believe CARCASS/DEATH/PESTILENCE and one opening band (Dread I think).

I was at the Grind Crusher tour too, fucking sick time.

Best time I saw Pestilence was with Death at Salisbury Beach. I got to hang out with them for awhile and I did the lights for Death, it was great.

I just remembered the band with the keyboards name if anyone cares it was Nocturnus

whoah! you saw nocturnus? damn..

I would have gone to one of those shows, but I was 15 and had no friends, no cars, and was too busy yanking it and playing TG16

being 15 is no excuse, I was 16. You just arent metal enough! :p

Fuck yes, Nocturnus played!

Once on Napster I was downloading "Ethereal Tomb" from some random user, years ago, then he IM'd me and asked me if I liked Nocturnus. It was Mike Browning I believe.

As long as you were playing TG16, then you have an excuse. I'm pretty sure you weren't 15 though, because I was 15 then, and I believe I am your senior.

I like Necroticism...But Heartwork at the time was just lame, I bet if I heard it today I'd like it, I have a more varied musical taste than I did back then

"True. Metal didn't exist there until Entropy."

HA! someone else remembers them. That first demo "World of Disgust" (i think thats whats its called) totally fucking ruled. The only NH hardcore/grind band. After that they went downhill.

Fuck it, let them do a reunion.
If any band deserves some cash and recognition to what they've done for metal, it's Carcass. I believe they would play all the early shit plus the Heartworks era stuff and make it all kill. They are hardly old men, so why not? Plus, if people are gonna bitch about how so many kids know jackshit about their metal roots, then let Carcass show em how it's done because their stuff is still timeless metal. Period.

All I have to say is Swan Song. That is where they left off and that really sucked, come on , rot and roll(ouch, super gay). Some reunions aren't worth it. When I saw them on the Heartwork tour they wouldn't play anything from the first two CD's.
Has Anyone heard any of Jeff Walkers New Country CD, He's on myspace with some songs, it is so fucking terrible.

haha rot and roll, that was the worst!

Necrotism and Heartwork were the totall begining of the end. the riffs on those two albums alone were generic as fuck. those albums might be good if it was some generic death metal band doing them but follow ups after "reek and "SOS" i think not i was ther in '90 as well great show
