That was more fun that if I did what I wanted and yelled for in flames songs. The vocals were good, but needed more reverb. For some reason, the drums sounded really fake. Like drum machine fake. Hiss of Atrocities: their music was chaulked full of berkeley nerdage. (i heard they were berkeley kids, but I don't really know) They had influences from every band out there. The vocals sounded like old cannibal corpse at first, then tool the next minute. The music sounded like those too and also meshuggah. They had a lot of death metal parts that I dug, but I can't get into the tool parts. There a few parts that sounded like meshuggah and then watered down into tool-ish parts. That was weird. |

I have a demo and I think they used a drum machine (it sounds a lot more ministry). The live drummer's cymbols actually sounded super cripsy and punchy like a drum machine. I kept looking to see if they had ATNFAC's kit. calmsite: did they just say the song was called "booger pipe's"? some one translated something wrong. 5 guys on stage and 2 sets of genes... Ah.. Diversity scandinavian style where having a brunette in the band means you are PC. their set was a lot better than the NYC show. It seemed like they were a lot more comfortable playing on that smaller stage. Thank you to ian for letting them use your gear so they could play. |
