But as far as a public figure, he ranks way up there. ALS = Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Personally I think the guy's an inspiration, he might be the butt end of a million jokes but he's not only survived, but perservered against a condition which would probably have taken out most of his detractors. |
