Her vocals go between operatic and a dark power metal style in this song. Where you get rappy, or nu-metal, or American Idol I have no fucking clue. I would agree that compared to everything else we do, the song is our most "commerical" heavy song, so to speak, but it is full of thrashy riffs, guitar harmonies, and melodic solos, which is hardly pandering to mainstream radio. It sacrifices nothing to be accessible. |

Which was a good call, really, because we wouldn't even stop to record in the past; in the three years from late 2002 (when we started gigging out regularly) to late 2005, we only took one two month break. As far as the new recording, things have been going a bit slower than I'd like, since Laurel is hard to get a hold of these days, but I'm optimistic that with the new demo added to our new press kit, we can finally start pursuing record labels full force. And of course, once the demo is out we will be gigging again as well. |
