RAM is typically the 2nd fastest memory on your computer and beats the access speed of your hard drive someone like 10x to 100x RAM cock cycles are around 333-566Mhz which allows 3.2-5.4GB/s. hard drives on the other had, normally sustain under 100Mbps. granted SATA II is listed for 3.0GB, but that is burst speed and not sustained speed. |
