The first episode of the season was a total retread of a generic Homer/Marge conflict, and started with Lisa questioning why her dad was into watching football ("Daddy Daughter Day" episode, anyone?) It was the first genuine retread where I felt the writers were not in on the joke; at least in that Duncan episode a few years back, the Comic Book Guy popped up and gave them shit about it ("The Simpsons already HAD a horse.")[/QUOTE]
