Brian Posehn Album[views:1923][posts:7]________________________________ [Jul 23,2006 5:57pm - Ryan_M ""] [img] Comedian and self proclaimed "metal dork" Brian Posehn has an album of his stand-up routine out on Relapse Records called "Live In: Nerd Rage". If you've never heard of him, he's a pretty funny guy; topics covered on the album include: having the band WASP sign his "pot tits", comparing the new Star Wars movies as the equivalent of being molested by George Lucas, guys showing two inches of "dick neck" as a means of teasing women, taking suicidal teenagers and using them as suicide bombers in the U.S. Army, and his recurring "Nerd Rage" after 30 years of being a dork. Also included as bonus tracks are two songs from two bands he's in, the first one is "Metal by Numbers" with his own band Posehn with Scott Ian, Joey Vera, and John Tempesta on guitar, bass and drums respectively - it's a pretty decent, sounds like S.O.D a little, and it's about how easy it is to have a metal band by following a few simple rules and ripping off big name bands. The second song is called "Try Again, Again" by his other band, Titannica, and this one is basically an out-of tune version of "Enter Sandman" and is about telling someone to try again at suicide. Anyway, I've ranted enough about this - I was mainly wondering if anyone else on the board has checked this out yet. |
