It was a cool magazine when they covered the NWOBHM, thrash/speed explosion, early death metal, etc. It was a great way to find out about all the bands out there, since there was no internet. But of course, they wanted to become this huge money-making venture and started covering nu-metal, grunge, etc. The rest is history.

I agree that Terrorizer is better now than Kerrang, that's for sure.
I don't like Terrorizer though, you get jack shit for content. Their reviews suck and they only cover about 10% of what comes out every month, IF that. Also, I'm into more genres than just death, black, doom and thrash, and they don't cover much else.
I do all my metal reading on the web, there's a lot more of it and frankly, it's better informed. Worm Gear, Chronicles of Chaos, etc, great webzines. I miss Ill Literature from way back, that was the most intelligent and informative metal read out there by a longshot. Marco Barbieri was the man before Century Media blew up and it all became $$$.
