| ________________________________________ [Aug 4,2006 2:49am - SacreligionNLI ""] best metal thursday thus far...probably 50-60 people throughout the night Mortalis - I didn't know what to expect of these guys but I was thoroughly impressed...fairly standard death metal but they did it well. They rocked a nice cover of War Ensemble as well. Coffin Birth - I need to see them on better sound systems more often...this was by far the best I've seen them perform thus far. The crowd was really into them and they were all havin a blast on the stage. I guess this was Nick(the bassist's) last show with them, which is unfortunate because his phenomenal bass playing and crazy shenanigans suit the band well. Sacreligion - We're so awful we should be called SaClayAiken. Face Full of Shotgun - They were a lot heavier tonight than the other times I've seen them...I'm not quite sure what it was, but it might've been how thunderous the bass drum was. That and the fact that they were pretty spot on. One of the guitarists fucked up his thumb at the end but toughed it out for the last song. Chris from Zircon/BOE has done an awesome job with these shows thus far, and I can only imagine that they are going to get better...tell everyone you know to come to one of these because every single one has been a great time. Show gets an A in my opinion |

This show was ALOT more fun than the Suffocation show! I dont think weve ever had a request to play another song like that, and that last song we played we havent even practiced in 5 months. Coffin Birth - this is like the 4th time I saw them and they have always been decent but this time they fucking slayed. Seriously like 5 times better than I remember. That drummer is fucking ridiculous. I think they played 3 "last songs" of the nite cause everyone kept screaming for more. Sacreligion - chug, chug, keys, i feel like chicken tonite hybrid pee pee dance courtesy of the keyboard player, i assume some weed was smoked. Face full of shotgun - I went to taco bell. Im sure they did well, they usually do. Decent turnout but still could be alot better. Fun time. Go next month. |
