I bought the dvds a while ago (before the history channel started showing them). There's a lot of info on the DVDs that's pretty fucking interesting. I liked the series so much that I read the book last year. Also interesting. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who loved the series. I'm reading Winters' book with all his memoirs at the moment. Actually, I found an audio book of it at the library, ripped it, chucked it on my mp3 player, and have been listening to it while at the gym. Pretty good way to pass the time. I wish they'd release more info on The Pacific War. 10 part mini-series executive produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg involving HBO and Dreamworks... sound familiar?
