YEAR OF DESOLATION posts new track from forthcoming album[views:2556][posts:1]______________________________________ [Aug 11,2006 2:25am - the_reverend ""] Indiana-based thrashers YEAR OF DESOLATION have posted an early mix of the band’s song “Flavor Of The Weak” on its MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/yearofdesolation) as a pre-cursor to the band’s forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut. Currently on tour across the United States with Cerberus and Forever In Terror on the “Cultivating The Masses” tour, YEAR OF DESOLATION just recently completed recording of the band’s Prosthetic debut, tentatively dubbed ‘Year of Desolation.’ Recorded with producer Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, Through The Eyes of The Dead), the record is due out in early 2007 through Prosthetic. Touring plans for the fall are currently in the works, tentatively teaming YEAR OF DESOLATION up with label mates BURN IN SILENCE. More details will be announced when they are available. After forming in 2001, YEAR OF DESOLATION released its debut album, Your Blood, My Vendetta, in 2004 before signing with Prosthetic in early 2006. "Teaming up with Prosthetic will be a good investment for both band and label,” guitarist John Hehman previously said. "We've got plenty to offer and so do they. When the self-titled album drops, everyone’s going to know that real metal isn't dead. That’s what their goal is, and that’s exactly what our goal is too."
