Shure, Audix, CAD are good names....depends on how much ya spend.
All above brands also sell shitty sets.

Those are all right. They go for around$200 new. Whats your budget? Is this for live or studio use?

Your better off getting that audix mic kit if thats your budget.(but you still need overheads and somthing for snare)Assuming you have a 5 pc kit. If you went w/ the standard shure sm-57's($90-100) on everything your still running $400 + and thats w/ no overheads.

Check out the Shure PG line they have 4 mic pak for $250. That will cover toms and kick, then pick up a used Audix I5 or sm57 used for $50. But you still need over heads. A pair of octavia mk-012($200) are decent for overheads.

Guitar center allways has the audio referance(audio techs cheap/cheese line)3 or 4 mic kit for around $100-150 on sale(they basically have a "sale" every weekend). Or check out the CAD pro-7, 7 pc mic pak for $200.

Also keep in mind, that you will need stands and cables, so check out the paks because some mics come w/ the tom mounting bracket.
