I've also never heard another drummer agree with this statement of mine haha. Yeah his solos just do nothing for me. He has great chops, yes, but I think his drumming gets far more creative when he's playing with the rest of the band. His solos seem just like a big "look how fast but boring I can play" showcase. It's pretty fucking good. It also comes with a huge PDF scan of the booklet that comes with it. It's full of sheet music of weird shit he's playing in different songs. Good stuff. |

I was watching some of his videos a few days ago - fucking unbelievable the shit he does, especially considering he plays on only 4-5 drums and a few cymbals as opposed to some of these great prog rock or metal drummers who have like 25 toms and 100 cymbals all over them. It sounds shitty to say it, but he makes drummers like Sandoval or Hellhammer look like chumps! |
