Movie: Babel[views:2206][posts:1]_______________________________________ [Aug 26,2006 9:13am - Y_Ddraig_Goch ""] I saw a preview for this yesterday and from what I can see it may possibly be a very good movie. It is a series of three or four stories combined and it mainly revolves around an American couple in Morroco, the wife gets shot by some little farm kid, she is then either kidnapped, or taken into a nearby village for treatment and kept hostage by the government? it didn't really expalin why they were stuck in Morroco in a small village other then they could not speak the same language as the police. It then ties in another story of the couples kids and how some mexican is their nany who either kidnaps them or takes them to mexico for some reason (again I saw no reason to as why they were in mexico) the couple try to call the nany but she speaks terrible english, and then there is something to do with a storyline in Japan that is related? I guess the whole plot that I could get from the few minutes was something about how technology has made us think we are gods again like in ancient Babylon, but we are still struck down by technology when it fails us, just like how God gave man many tongues back when man thought they were gods with the tower of Babel Looks like it might be good |
