Its not going to sound any different. It could be Prostools, DP, cubase or sonar. They all offer up 192kbps sample rates, rtas/vst etc. plugins etc. Now tape, thats differnat, because it is a totally differnat beast over digital files(natural compression and that would change the sound). What does make a huge differnace is Ad/da converters, preamps, mics and engineer with a good ear. The only differnce between software is how they run, there workarounds etc. |

It has it's own processing cards and takes care of it's self. the only thing the computer runs is plug in's. Other than the price I think protools HD dominates. |

| ________________________________________ [Sep 15,2006 9:04am - Josh_hates_you ""] most any mixing boards will have inserts on every channel. you can use those as a direct outs if you dont need the insert for anything. with firewire you would have either 8 or all of your channels patched out with one cable but you can still track them all seperately if you have enough inputs on your interface. then you need to consider the converters. |
