This rack is great for drum kits where the floor toms are actuall floor toms, not rack-mounted toms. I bought a new kit with 14" & 16" rack mounted floor toms, and that on top of the 137 cymbals I mount on the thing made it impossible to keep from slipping and breaking the memory locks. If you mount a couple drums and cymbals it's usually no big deal, but this... [IMG]http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a372/polioflesh/drum%20stuff/IMG_0005.jpg[/IMG] is way too much for that kind of rack to hold up. My buddy had his kit on it for months, 2 toms and a couple of floor toms, and a couple of cymbals on the corner posts, and just one on the side, and he said there was never any slippage or anything, so it does still work well.
