Old school Black Metal is cool.I like Venom,Celtic Frost and Mercyful Fate.But the newer Swedish and Norwegian Black Metal sucks badly.Cradle of Shit suck too.Not sure where their from.Their singer sounds like a cat being tortured.COS are for the teeny bopper mallcore kids who like to dress up like vampires.If COS didnt wear makeup they wouldnt have half of their fans.Its sad when image is more important than the music.COS are like all of that Glam crap from the 80s.Lets wear makeup and look like women.

There are tons of recent Swedish and Norse Black Metal bands that do not suck badly. 1349? Nidingr? Disiplin? The Legion? Tons of bands.

My cousin is the biggest black metal fan I know.He says that its heavier than Death Metal.I always laugh at that.To bad he wont be going to see Dark Funeral when they come to Marks Showplace.He dont have a license or a car.No way in hell Im driving him either.Im definitly not going to that show.

First cradle of filth is not black metal its gay and goth metal. Three if the only bands you Knbow about are from sweeden and norway you do not know alot about black metal, In fact Eastern Europe has a very very good scene going on, As well as Finland
And people realy need to stop listening to black metal if there listing to it because varg and some friends burned down churches, and also people realy need to realize there is not going to be another church burning spree by black mettlers any where.

Death metal is defintly heavier than black metal, although black metal is usauly more blasphemy lyric wise.
Also people might want to consider that there are black metal bands that did not come from norway or sweden .Eastern europe has some very good bands as well as finnland.
