Sucks cause besides the D&G fest, this is one of the only times you can see RGUT on a stage with a real PA. The mix wasn't very good so that sort of sucked. It was too clean from what I'm used to hearing them. I think that the middle east would need to turn it all up to 11 for them to sound right. I don't remember Blue ever singing for them before (it's probably cause most times I've seen them, there are enough broomsticks and/or mics to go around). Think back to Blue's terrible lows for RK after the other Peter left and you might think it wouldn't be very good. You would be wrong. These vocals suited him and the music; still back ups, but sounded more carcassy. oh and that dude that always dances no matter what, danced no matter what for them. |

They covered mayhem deathcrush and cro-mags hardtimes. they sounded excellent on stage. I hope that this what we will get from OB's when it opens back up. The kid who moshes to everything was up there moshing to them too. Well, at least for the hardtimes cover. In the end, the covers were a good choice. random acts of violence: they played a bunch of new songs. The guitar work is stepped up in those songs compared to the older ones. Even transfiguration is played/filled out better from the demo track that I have. Phil up there behind those drums kills, but I was going to photoshop the word "traitor" on the RAOV banner up the beside phil. Makes it hard when the rest of revocation is rocking out in the front beside him. were I booking this show, they would have gone on right before hirax. |

Usually, it's really good punkish hardcore (duh toxic narcotic) with some raggea parts that it ignore. Something was off in the sound though. I might not really like the 'ggea parts, but I like the fact that they are doing something different. hirax: absolutely slayed. I thought this was going to be a mega let down, but it completely was not at all. They thorougly delivered that set. As soon as they hit the stage, the night was made. Hirax has been around longer that 86% of the people that will read this text and the play better than most bands now-a-days. The music rules too. It's not just all heavymetal. They come from a time where cross over bands thrashed the land. I'm glad that bands like them can still play and find other, young bands playing the same fun music. All around, I give them a A++ for this set. |
