My town Sucks.... Lynneaus ready to kill people[views:2219][posts:2]___________________________________ [Oct 30,2003 12:33pm - Lynneaus ""] since last spring my town has been doing construction along Main St.... they are putting in a water main (we have well water currently) so since last spring we have dealt with major traffic issues (cuz they close one lane and u have to sit and wait till the cop waves you on) and very poor quality roads (meaning they will leave it just dirt and gravel and with the rain u now have major pot holes) and other wonderful things.... so this year instead of taking 5 mins for me to go to the post office and home it takes like 25 minutes. well today ive lost it. being the unemployed busy person i am i slept till around 10am got up played online etc etc at 11:50 am i exit my house and get in my car.... back out of my driveway and onto my street and stopped.... i had no way to exit my street.... two use construction vehicles were in front of my street with the pavement all dug up and laying around in chuncks all over the side of the street....and two huge cement pilons were also laying at the end of the street. now normally i wouldnt be too upset ... but... 1) they gave no notice what so ever 2) im out of cigarettes and have been for over an hour 3) im itching up a storm and part of my journey out was to get more calamine lotion and benedryl pills 4) im out of cigarettes so i put my car back in the driveway ... came in my house and swore a lot and then when back outside.... i saw a construction dude on my neighbors lawn talking with my neighbors (who are this lil old couple who are really sweet) so i asked him when id be able to leave... after some hemming and hawwing he says around a half hour. now thats not bad but then he starts "well the street was open all morning... we just started doing this a little while ago.. yadda yadda yadda" thats all fine and good that u left it open in the morning but without warning people HOW THE HELL SHOULD I HAVE KNOWN TO LEAVE IN THE MORNING |
