The End - record news[views:16627][posts:0]_______________________________________ [Oct 31,2003 10:10am - the_reverend ""] THE END SIGN TO RELAPSE RECORDS; BAND COMPLETES RECORDING OF NEW ALBUM Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Mississauga, Ontario quintet THE END. The forward-thinking troupe will release their first proper Relapse full-length in early 2004. THE END (Aaron Wolff - vocals / Steve Watson - guitar / Andrew Hercules - guitar Sean Dooley - bass / Anthony Salajko - drums), whose debut release, Transfer Trachea Reverberations From Point: False Omniscient, was named the 2001 Metal Album of the Year by The Canadian Independent Music Awards, recorded their forthcoming album -- Within Dividia -- at Wild Studios with producer Pierre Remillard (Cryptopsy, Misery Index, Gorguts). Within Dividia sees THE END employing a film noir atmosphere set to music, with the album musically and lyrically narrating the conceptual tale of "The Dividia Estate" and its eerily compelling inhabitants. The final track listing for Within Dividia is "These Walls", "Fetesque", "The Sense of Reverence", "The Scent of Elegance", "Organelle (in she we lust)", "Dear Martyr", "Orthodox Unparalleled" and "Of Fist and Flame". THE END's Within Dividia will be released in North American on January 13th, 2004 and in Europe on January 26th. Having completed numerous cross-Canadian tours as well as extended Eastern U.S. regional touring with the likes of the DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, Poison the Well and Lamb of God amongst others, THE END has embarked on a month long North American tour alongside Between the Buried and Me and A Life Once Lost. The tour kicked off with a performance as part of the 2003 Relapse Records CMJ showcase and includes an appearance at the 2003 New Jersey Metal and Hardcore Festival (alongside labelmates MASTODON, NILE, DYSRHYTHMIA, etc.). Striking a balance between gravity and complexity, THE END takes alternative heavy music to the next logical extreme, allowing its listeners to decide for themselves how to describe the indescribable ***with Between the Buried & Me and A Life Once Lost*** October 27 Minneapolis MN Triple Rock October 28 Des Moines, IA Des Moines Botanical Center October 29 Wichita, KS The Game October 30 Denver, CO Garageland October 31 Salt Lake City, UT Albee Square November 1 San Francisco, CA The Pound November 2 Corona, CA Showcase Theater November 3 San Diego, CA Che Cafe November 4 Las Vegas, NV Skate city November 5 Phoenix, AZ Modified November 6 El Paso, TX Club 101 November 7 San Antonio, TX 4 G's November 8 Corpus Christi, TX Equal Eyez November 9 Dallas, TX Red Blood Club November 10 Nashville, TN The Muse November 11 Birmingham, AL Cave 9 November 12 Winston Salem, NC Brew Ha-Has November 13 Baltimore, MD The Sidebar November 14 North Haven, CT North Haven Congregational Church November 15 Asbury Park, NJ Asbury Park Convention Center (as part of New Jersey Metal & Hardcore Festival) November 16 New York, NY CBGB's (w/ Between the Buried & Me, A Life Once Lost, Premonitions of War, Watch Them Die, and more) November 17 Bloomfield, NJ Bloomfield Ave. Café November 18 Ronkonkoma (Long Island), NY The Hungarian Hall November 19 Springfield, MA Fat Kat's November 20 Rochester, NY Penny Arcade November 21 Wilkes Barre, PA Cafe Metropolis November 22 Philadelphia, PA First Unitarian Church November 23 Buffalo, NY Broadway Joe's November 24 Windsor, ON Ian's Old Skateshop (w/ A Taste of Blood, Abandoned Hearts Club, and more) |
