If ANYONE kicked my door down, police or not, they would be met with a hail of gunfire. In my opinion what these police did was uncalled for on a massive level. If these police had attained the warrant that they claimed to have attained....then they would have known the identity and certainly the age of the resident. In this case, I would see the kicking down of her door as excessive use of force in itself. They should have tried phoning her, or knocking for a longer period of time. Also, whoever did the background investigation that warranted the search should be shot. If it was in fact a mistake, this cannot be left unpunished. Just because you're a police officer does not give you the right to invade homes without ABSOLUTELY no mistake about who's home you are raiding and the proper reconnaissance. She has every right as an American to open fire on intruders....and if it was a mistake, then I am glad that she did. This will prove the point that violation of Constitutional Rights will not be tolerated by the American public. Especially the Libertarian American public. If she was in fact guilty of drug dealing, then I am glad that she got wasted and saddened that police officers were wounded in the line of duty. Either she's a drug dealer, or an armed citizen exercising her right to protect her property with force. I hope they find out what really happened. |
