We just spent 4 weeks in Dogwood Recording putting 5 new songs down to tape. This will be our first album titled "Age Eternal". The songs range in length from a little over 6 minutes to 16+ minutes. Middian is stoked on how the recording came out and we are excited to get this music out to fans of the HEAVY to chew on. Musically there are some resemblances to YOB (my former band), but there is much in the way of vibes and textures that are our own sound. The track "Sink to the Center"(the album's closer) has guest vocals from Orange Goblin frontman Ben Ward and noise from The Monsters of Pot out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is one of the most fucked up pieces of music I have ever been a part of. The vibes of the "Age Eternal" cd range from melodic and beautiful to upbeat and driving to down-trodden and brutal. We are shooting for a late April release! We are then going to do some west coast shows in the early winter with a US Tour in May and hopefully a trip to Japan in September. Europe will be on the horizon after that. We put up a rough mix of one of the tunes that will be on our new album at My Space a couple days ago. So far it has been played over 1500 times since then and our page has had 3000 visits since then too. The sound we have at the My Space page is about 95% mixed for instrument levels and whatnot“, says band leader Mike Scheidt. MIDDIAN is his new band sine YOB split up a few months ago.
