As for concerts, I went to Wacken this year, so I can't really give a fair answer. Morbid Angel, BG, Hirax, and Suffocation-Hypocrisy-Decapitated are all up there among normal shows though. |

The new Third Death and Scapegoat 7"s were definitely noteworthy. |

As far as CD's go - I really have no intrest in new bands or albums. When I want to hear something new, I look to the past. This year I discovered the greatness of Pentagram and old Mercyful Fate - something I should have done back when I was 16 and just starting to get into metal. |

When I was 21 I would go to like 2 shows a week. I'm fucking ancient now and don't care that much anymore. But from what I did make it out to: Anal Cunt/Hirax in Brooklyn um.....Shit, the only other show I can even remember going to was Destruction at the Middle East. I know I saw a few others but I can't think of them right now.....Oh yeah, Watchmaker in Lowell was pretty good. The only 2006 release I got was the Pentagram demos CD Vol. 2. |
