SFU are pretty boring on tape, but they're great live imo. They opened for Danzig in 2000 (along with Disturbed), and Chris's voice drowned out the fucking drums AND guitars! in Palladium... It was one the coolest things I've ever heard. He might have blown out the vocal pre-amps or something, because I couldnt hear Danzig at all when they played. I think they're a great live band. They're more about fun then trying to break any musical boundaries... which might explain why they're one of the more successful death metal bands to date. |
