This is the first full on Metal show at Great Scott, in Allston, which is located right by the Harvard Ave. T-stop on the Green Line B-Branch.
As some of you know, the City of Boston is currently fucking around with the allowing of 18+ shows and at the moment even clubs with 18+ licenses are not allowed to do shows for under-21-ers that run past 11 PM. This is due to some violent incidences at dance nights on Landsdowne St. (including a stabbing of a 26 year old by a 23 year old, or vice versa, I forget), so the city does not exactly have sound reasoning for the directive. For the moment, this show is 18+, though Great Scott, The Paradise and other venues who have been effected are currently working on trying to sort out this mess with the mayor's office and if there is any positive development, I will post here. For now, the show is 21+ though.

Though I told MORTALIS 8:15-8:30, I guess the club would prefer bands there earlier, like in the 7 range, so if you can all try to get there by 8 anyway, that would rule. Sharing gear will be helpful with the amount of space in GS as well, and I think WITCH TOMB might need some help with drums/bass amp anyway. Any other sharing of gear that goes on would be icing on the cake.

Great show. Best Hekseri set I've ever seen. They were so loud and raw it was awesome. Volatile was great but they should have played Grim Reaper. I'm really into the Witch Tomb cd so it was great to finally see them live. Revocation was awesome as usual. The Faith No More cover was definetly the highlight of my night. I caught part of Mortalis and for a bunch of young dudes they rocked prety hard. This entire show was like a drunken love fest. Everyone just drank and rocked out.

Good time last night. I live 2 mins from Great Scott and yet that was only my 2nd time there (first was for Eyehategod) but it didnt sound THAT bad...
Witch Tomb sounded great but I noticed that Cody didn't use the bass I stole for him from GC. If it's not working, let me know as I'm sure I can fix it.
Revocation killed as expected: Sadus, Pestilence, Gorguts and Atheist all had man sex and produced Boston's best death/thrash band, hands down.
Hekseri did their thing sans Jason which didn't work out in their favor but played an enjoyable set regardless...
now I'm going back to bed before I go to work...after which, I'm sponsoring a cocaine rodeo.

Awesome fucking time last night. Had to duck out a little early before Hekseri's set ended. Mortalis was awesome, the bass player/Ralph Macchio look alike had a good growl. Witch Tomb kicked ass, Revocation was fucking amazing as usual and Hekseri was always fun. Defenitly an awesome time, and hopefully people enjoyed Volatile's set.

I only got to video tape Witch Tomb (about 3-4 songs), some nice clips of Revocation (no full songs) and a bunch of clips of Hekseri (no full songs - camera kept dying and stopped recording... I think it's because it happens when the sound clips or something.. not sure)
