Founded in Brussels, Belgium, in 1994 I Scream Records has built a huge following and an amazing catalogue of European & American bands. With sales increasing every year all over the world and partnerships with great companies, I Scream Records grew into one of the hottest & most popular independent labels in Western Europe. During these first 11 years, ISR artists were released in the USA on a licensing basis through great labels such as Victory Records, Bridge 9 Records, and Thorp Records. ISR felt it was time to take matters in our own hands and joined forces with well established distribution partners to start releasing their bands through their own network in the USA. I Scream Records Inc. is based out of Los Angeles, CA and was established in 2005. The Netherlands’ favorite rock/punk/pop band, Green Lizard, will release their third album and first on I Scream Records in the United States on March 13th, 2007! Thanks to their enigmatic live shows and extensive touring, Green Lizard built up a solid live reputation throughout Europe, has played the Vans Warped Tour, and has even done shows in South America, creating an intense global following for this fantastic Dutch band. Green Lizard’s new album was recorded at the Bunt's studio with Menno Bakker and the Source Recordings Studio with Alejandro Londono. Famous producer/engineer/mixer Clif Norrell (REM, The Pixies, Rollins, Faith No More, Jeff Buckley) did the mix in Los Angeles and the album was mastered at John Golden Mastering. Singer Remi said about the recordings: “This was definitely a new experience for us. By recording in different studios and with different people, we definitely got the best of both worlds in this recording! Although it was extremely fun to produce it ourselves, it was a lot more work than we anticipated and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Menno and Alejandro. Of course recording twice with a man like Clif taught us a lot about making a record.” Green Lizard’s previous albums were put out by Sony Music and sold more than 22,000 copies in The Netherlands alone. Originally released in Europe by I Scream Records and licensed out to GMM Records for the United States, ISR decided to re-release it here in the U.S. to let the masses get a taste of what a European hardcore show is all about, straight from the source.
