| ______________________________________ [Mar 28,2007 8:38am - the_reverend ""] legions of the dying: The were pretty good. I honestly didn't know what to expect. Sort of slowish blackdeath. Some parts reminded me of morbid angel, but just as many reminded me of enslaved. They even had an oh-so-evil demon skull on one of the cabs (as seem om the pictures on rttp). Dreaded Silence: their set was craziness. Ken never took his shirt off (even though I yelled at him to). This disappointed the moshing masses more than anything. There was a lot more of the corky moshing going on and everyone there was just picking up some little guy and plowing him into the ground over and over again. at some point he went down for the count. the band didn't even stop playing. He was lead out, but returned a minute later to rage. The floor was crazy. all those huge bodies moving made me a little nervous to cross. The thing about thier set that pissed me off was that I spent all this time making it look like Sinistas had his hat on during the set, but after I got it almost right, he put the hat on. All my work was for not! This show was great and all, but it seems like the Skybar is getting trashier. I remember when that place seemed "upscale". |
