Ampeg has more of a "rock" tone and wont give you that nasty punch you need to cut through loud ass guitars. Unless that's not what you're looking for. I loooooove my SM-900 though. |

I think we are on the same page with bass gear. Definitly my favorite amp I ever heard. without a doubt the loudest 300 watt all tube amp I ever heard too. Cool thing is it is 2 channels, and they can be footswitchable, and you can also blend the two channels. Built in compression too for ome serious punch. As much as I like ampeg stuff, it blows all the ampeg gear I have owned out of the water. That consist of SVT3, SVT4, SVT, B2R, and a SVT PRO preamp. |
