Oblivion was a game I grew bored with after about 7 weeks. Another modern game that emphasizes too much on being realistic, and not at all on being fun. If I wanted to see shadows and watch leaves fall from trees I could just turn on my front yard. It's cheaper and less time consuming. |

It definitely takes some getting used to. You kinda have to go out and grab the world by the balls, it isn't going to seek you out. 'Course, compared to the railroad fests that pass for most modern RPGs, it's a nice change. Y'know, I've easily logged over 100 hours in Morrowind, with a few different characters - easily. And I've probably seen about half the island, and I've never even touched three quarters of the faction quests. That's not even counting the expansions. FUCKING HUGE. Especially compared to, say, Neverwinter Nights, which I finished in probably 60 hours, and that's mining the SHIT out of every last minute of gameplay I could find. |
