When I download/rip music, I haveto put it in my music folder, att it to the Itunes library, and sync it with my ipod. if i delete something from my computer, it won't put it on my ipod, it will copy everything that's in my music folder. Is there any way I can delete the stuff I have in my computer and keep it on my ipod, but still be able to add individual songs and CDs to my ipod without interfering with the stuff that's already on there? Should i just buy an external drive? recomendations? Also, I'd like to keep Itunes if possible, learning a different program to do this will probably just give me a headache. |

Synching it would mean that every time you plug in your iPod iTunes will update it in accordance to what's in your library. Un-synching it means that your iPod library and your iTunes library are separate. It's better because you won't have to keep all that stuff on your hard drive BUT you'll have to import everything manually in the future. |

I used to use WinAMP with the ml_ipod plugin, but winamp doesn't support that anymore since they integrated ipod support right into the program. I'm playing around with Senuti now, and I like it alot. But it won't matter once I get home, as I don't own a Mac :-\ |
