| _______________________________________________ [May 4,2007 3:35pm - mark fucking richards ""] as an employer, there is not one thing worse than when an employee calls and says someone died if it's not true. i've had 7 people say that, and 6 of them have not returned to work. if you're than tired and in pain, just tell them. if one of my employees calls me and says "sorry, i've been exhausted for days and i need to rest," even if it's 1 hour before his/her shift starts, it's better to be honest. an employer doesn't want an employee to overwork himself/herself because if someone was to happen to that employee in medical terms, the employer is grilled until answers are found. just some advice from someone who has more employee's family members die than i have employees. |
