Create your recovery disks (unless it is a TOshiba laoptop) so you can go back to Vista incase trying to load XP doesn't work. I've heard of a few people trying to load XP on new systems and had a shit load of problems with drivers and the works. Also, vista will always run rather slow with only 1GB of Ram (like running XP with only 512MB.) |

For some people 512MB or 256MB may do the trick. Mine at home is suped up with 2GB of RAM. Compared to some people who game (which I don't), that's nothing ram wise. |
