I'm looking for a line 6 spider III head. (75 or 150 wat version, as long as the price is right)

don't have quite enough cash to buy one new, so I'm hoping to find one for less then 200 bucks.

I also have a spiderIII combo to trade towards it if you're interested.

I'm also looking for a footswitch for a spider III preferably an FVB2 for a good price.

Does anyone here even have one of these amps?

I figured it was a long shot, but considering the amount of views his thread got, someone must have one.

There is actually one in our jam space, I think it belongs to my drummer's brother (Matt, ex-HCN drummer). He just got the thing though, so I don't think he wants to sell it.

I play the Flextone II which I like much.

Flextones have much better tone than Spiders, IMO.

Don't know if a combo would work:

It won't be used for metal tones. Low end line 6's have awful metal tone accross the board IMO anyways.

Didn't say "metal" tones, did I? The Flextone tones were taken from the Pod 2, IIRC.

It's a metal message board and I'm in a metal band, so I figured you figured that's what it was for.

Anywho, the clean chanel and delay are all that are really going to be used. How's the delay on the flextone?

Cleans are pretty good, as I recall. Not really sure on the delay as I'm not an effects guy. Maybe LFAZ could chime in on that.

I don't fuck with the delay much -- I just pretty much just found rhythm and lead sounds that I like and stuck with them. The various cleans are pretty nice, but again, I don't use them. Clean channels showcase what a truly horrendous guitar player I am.

Mr. Sinistas is correct -- the Flextone is basically the Pod with 200 watts.

Yeah, Blue is right -- the Spiders really aren't all that great. Go with the Flextone or Vetta if you want to buy Line 6.

there was a used Vetta head on Worcester Craigslist for $500 a couple of weeks ago.

why the fuck would anyone get a Line 6 just for a clean and delay?

Get a delay pedal and a decent amp

problem solved

I already have a decent amp.

The line 6 isn't for me, my buddy dan is looking for one.

He just started playing guitar and wants to upgrade his spider combo to a quarter stack. He just jams out to accoustic shit with a couple friends.

and he only has roughly 150$ to spend on a used head, so his options aren't great.

Come on, you guys know better then that. ME playing a spider? HAR!
